Stepping Stone Manor: A New Beginning

A former resident had this to say about the program:

casa      “When I entered Stepping Stone, I knew I didn’t want to return to the drunken life I had lived.  I came up those steps of Stepping Stone with the few possessions I owned in two paper bags.  I began to see this earth was not created for my pleasure, only for my benefit if I would work for it.  I learned to do chores around the house, adhere to a schedule and to be accountable for my actions.  When I entered SSM I thought I was above taking a minimum wage job, having been in management positions for the last 37 years.  I began to understand that I was no longer the top dog on the block and would have to start my life over.  I took a job cleaning patient rooms at a treatment center for alcoholics.  My employability improved along with my self-esteem.  As my six months came to a close, I had been given the tools necessary to pick up my life in the outside world without picking up a drink.  Stepping Stone Manor is the perfect place for the man who wants to redirect his life and start over.”.
